Brand Temple / Selected work
SONARC

Founder-owned example · strategy and implementation

SONARC needed people to understand its work before Igor entered the conversation.

Brand Temple clarified the studio's position, named a five-stage method, separated four kinds of work, and built the public site and working records now in use.

01

The condition

A complex sound practice was being read as a general audio service.

SONARC already combined composition, spatial thinking and close listening. Its public language did not yet explain that combination or help someone choose the right kind of work.

Brand Temple named what the studio did, separated work that began from different source material and wrote one method the business could keep using.

02

The position

SONARC is a founder-led sonic architecture studio. It authors sound for a specific brief, then carries the work through relationships, placement, rights, handover and an operating record.

This position helps visitors distinguish the studio from production on demand, background music and a list of unrelated audio services.

03

The method

One clear decision at every stage.

Listen, Name, Compose, Place, Prove.

  1. 01

    Listen

Hear the place, its rhythms, existing sound and intended state before deciding what belongs.

  2. 02

    Name

Turn the brief into a precise sonic intention, with the relationships and boundaries made explicit.

  3. 03

    Compose

Author the sonic material and the system that connects its parts, transitions and silences.

  4. 04

    Place

Shape the work for the rooms, moments, touchpoints and listening conditions where it will live.

  5. 05

    Prove

Test the system, record what was decided and leave a usable handover for continued stewardship.

04

The offers

One discipline. Different starting states.

A place, an artist, a finished recording and a new commission do not begin in the same place. The four offers now make that difference clear.

01

Sound Journey

A composed arc for a defined experience, practice or passage.

02

Experience and Space Score

Sound authored across rooms, hours, zones and transitions.

03

Production and Sound Design

Original sonic work shaped around an artist, product or experience.

04

Sonic Identity

A recognisable sonic system carried through selected brand touchpoints.

The same structure distinguishes existing catalogue use, unfinished artist work, final approved sources and newly commissioned work.

05 / The live experience

The site lets a visitor hear the standard before asking them to enquire.

Seven measured movements

Five opt-in listening works

The working record

The decisions behind the website have one current home.

Each important decision has an owner, its evidence and a clear state. When something changes, SONARC can find the current answer instead of reconstructing it from another conversation.

Position
A clear account of what SONARC makes, for whom and under whose authorship.
Method
One current five-stage way of working, from the first listen to handover.
Offers
Four routes for work that begins in different states.
Claims
A record of what is live, what is proved and what is still held.
Rights
Clear boundaries around source material and private client work.
Release
One current source checked before public language or routes change.
SONARC can now change the public work without losing the decisions underneath it.

What this example shows

A complex practice can become easier to understand without becoming simpler than it is.
